Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer support after the inspection is complete and we receive the report?
Of course, We are always ready to answer any questions you may have about any issues found in a home. Simply give us a call or send us an email.
My area isn’t listed in your pricing?
Akana services the entire Big Island, based out of Keaau on the East Side. We charge according to whatever rate the closest listed town pays. The further away from Hilo you go the charges are slightly higher to account for travel time. You’ll still find us very competitively priced wherever your inspection is on the Big Island.
Do you do pest inspections?
No, because of the vast amount of creepy crawlies on our island; pest inspection and mitigation is an industry unto itself. We can refer you to a reliable pest inspection company.
Who owns the report; do I have to show the seller/buyer the report?
You are the sole-owner of the report as the purchaser of the home inspection. That means you are under no obligation to disclose it to your seller or buyer. Some buyer found issues may have to be disclosed in the future by sellers if they are not remedied. Please discuss how to address and discuss negotiations with your realtor.
